This week we are learning about 3D shapes and my kids enjoyed making structures out of toothpicks and marshmallows (and eating the marshmallows 😂). You can also use play-doh and toothpicks. I recommend bigger marshmallows because the smaller ones made the structure flimsy.
More ideas to do with 3D shapes:
1. Find items around the house that are cylinders, cubes, cones, etc.
2. Make up a song about 3D shapes.
3. Make 3D shapes out of paper (there are many templates online). 4. Make a 3D shape book.
5. Talk about the difference between 2D and 3D shapes.
This is such an easy and fun activity to do. Kids love anything with snacks so this is perfect!
